But what if it doesn’t rain that much? That’s where RainSure℠ comes through! This model would still pay 4% of the coverage limit for every .01” of rain during the policy period. In the example below, if the recorded rainfall is .16”, the payout would be $6400.

.01” = $400 total payout
.03” = $1200 total payout
.15” = $6000 total payout
.16” = $6400 total payout
.20” = $8000 total payout
.25”= $10,000 total payout

This policy pays out in full ($10,000) if the recorded rainfall during the policy period measures ≥ .50”.
This policy pays 2% ($200) of the coverage limit up to 100% for every .01” of recorded rainfall during the policy period.
